Riverside Minor Baseball Association
Located behind St. Rose Church at the corner of Ontario Street and Janisse Drive, the Riverside Minor Baseball Association is a staple of the Windsor community. Founded more than 60 years ago, the RMBA runs baseball teams for both boys and girls, ages 5-16. The divisions being hosted in 2017 are t-ball, junior rookie, rookie, mosquito, pee wee, bantam, and midget. RMBA offers both house league and travel teams, with the travel teams participating in 2-4 tournaments a year. Travel teams even have the opportunity to play in some of the U.S. leagues. All of the teams usually begin practicing as early as February, and the season runs from the first week of May until Labour Day.
RMBA provides a place for your child to meet new friends and have some fun, while at the same time developing a healthy lifestyle for them. It’s also a great way to get involved in your community, whether it’s just watching a game with other parents, coaching a team, or even being an umpire. You might even get to meet Rally, RMBA’s very own mascot.
Registration is easy, during the month of April you can either come to the office on Wednesday from 6 pm-8 pm, or go online until the 26th. First time registrants must show a birth certificate. Office hours during the season are Monday to Thursday, 1 pm to 5 pm. It’s never too late to get your child involved in baseball.
