1. Pre-Game
- No Batting Practice on Infield
- Please keep all groundball practice outside the foul lines
2. Post-Game: Since we are on a tight time schedule, please adhere to the following post-game protocols.
- Shake Hands with the opposition
- Clear and clean the dugout immediately
- All team post-game talks are to be done outside the field after the dugout is cleared.
- Finalize Pitch Counts
3. OBA rules will be followed with the following exceptions:
- Home Team will keep score and pitch count. A coin toss will occur before the game to determine the home team.
Game Length
- No new inning can begin after 2 hours
- An inning beginning after 1 hour and 45 minutes will automatically be consider lol ed the final inning and will have an 8-run maximum. Last inning must be called BEFORE the start of the top of the inning.
- Official Game after 4 innings or 3-½ if the home team is ahead.
- No Extra Innings
Tie Breakers (RP7.4):
When 3 or more teams are tied, head-to-head record (RP7.4c ii) is excluded. After the winner of that tiebreaker is determined, the tiebreakers will continue, if necessary, excluding RP7.4(c)(ii) as long as there are 3 or more teams tied. When only 2 teams remain, the tiebreaker will start at RP7.4(c)(i).
- Teams with a forfeit loss are ineligible for tiebreakers
- Head-to-head record among tied teams;
- Team with the smallest runs-against ratio (runs allowed / number of defensive innings played) in games among tied teams;
- Team with the smallest runs-against ratio (runs allowed / number of defensive innings played) in all games;
- Team with the highest runs-for ratio (runs scored / number of offensive innings played) in games among tied teams;
- Team with the highest runs-for ratio ( runs scored / number of offensive innings played) in all games;
- Coin toss
Mercy Rules: (see OBA Section RP2.17 10/11U Playing Rules)
- 18 runs after 3 innings
- 15 runs after 4 innings
- 10 runs after 5 innings
Schedule Format
- 2 divisions of 4 teams, round robin play. Everyone guaranteed 4 games.
- Top 2 teams play cross over
Protests
- A protest based on an umpire’s interpretation of the rules must be lodged with the umpire before the game resumes, and the opposing team must also be advised by the umpire before the game resumes.
- The protest committee has the right to rule whether the protest will be heard
- All protests must be ruled on at the time of their occurrence by the Protest Committee.
